Sammy Davis, Jr.

(Click Image to Zoom In and Out)

There was once a young man - barely into adolescence - who approached an older and wiser man (well, older, anyway) for advice.

How, the young man asked, do you know if a song you hear as a teenager is a good song?

It's very simple, the sage said. Simply listen to the song ten years later. If you still like it, it's a good song.

Of course, there are some songs you hear fifty years after you heard them and you think they're even better. Those are what we call great songs.

And by that criteria, Sammy Davis, Jr., did sing some great songs.

Of course, Sammy did a lot more than just sing songs that are better now than when he first sang them. And if you want to learn a bit more about Sammy, just click here.
