With her sultry good looks, Marie was truly the Queen of the Film Noir Femmes Fatales. She made 150 movies spanning fifty years ranging from mystery to comedy. Many of these were the so-called B-Movies which sometimes were better than their big budget brothers.
Perhaps (regrettably) most people remember her as the major co-star in "Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy" along with a young Michael Ansara (Kang on Star Trek's "The Day of the Dove" and in the subsequent Star Trek series) and a young and very thin Richard Deacon ("Mel" on the "Dick Van Dyke Show").
Part of the reason for drawing this is that caricaturing the nice looking ladies requires constant practice. This seems to have a hint of Mort Drucker in the style. That wasn't intentional although (personal opinion) Mort Drucker is the best caricaturist ever.
